We welcome individual riders, along with groups from both mainstream and specialist schools, and residential care homes.
Our riding sessions last for half an hour and are tailored to ability. Most riders benefit from social interaction in a group lesson and all of our sessions include exercises and games which are designed to improve balance, core strength, speech, coordination, socialisation or teach a particular skill. However, Mid Cheshire’s main objective is that our riders should always have fun and enjoy their time with us!
We have riding sessions on Tuesdays and Fridays during term time, from 10am to 12pm, and on Saturdays from 9.30am to 11.30am. Availability of a place will be discussed when applying. All riders must complete an application form and will be assessed by one of our riding instructors prior to being offered a full time riding place.
We have a weight limit which is necessary for the welfare of our horses. As we do not have a hoist, riders need to be able to weight-bear to get on. We have a dual level, purpose made ramp which has wheelchair access.
If you would like to ride with us you will need to apply to our Organiser, Jeanette Dixon. She can be contacted either by email firstname.lastname@example.org or tel 07490 682 429.
